Work remotely from a cloud forest reserve in Ecuador's western Andes — 700 hectares of protected forest, reliable internet, organic meals, and the space to do your best work.
You've tried the home office, the coffee shop, the coworking space. The distractions, the noise, the same four walls. Your productivity suffers. Your energy drains. You keep saying you'll take a break — but the break never comes.
You don't need another workspace. You need a different environment — one that gives you focus, fresh air, and the reset your mind has been asking for.
La Hesperia is not a coworking space. It is a working conservation reserve and sustainable farm where you can focus deeply, recharge through nature, and still stay connected to your work.
Whether you're finishing a thesis, building a project, or simply looking to trade city noise for the cloud forest, this is the kind of environment that helps you do your best thinking.
When you step away from your work, you can walk into the forest, spend time on the farm, or just sit with a coffee and take it in. You decide how much or how little to engage.
For over 50 years, La Hesperia has supported itself through its own work. What we do here — from our programs to the farm — is what keeps the forest standing. Being here means being part of that.
This is not a coworking space. It is a working cloud forest reserve — and your desk happens to be in the middle of it.
Most places charge extra for these. Here, they are included as a gift in appreciation of your stay.
Plus the opportunity to join any ongoing staff-led or recreational activities during your stay.
We keep it intentionally small. This is a place reserved for those who truly value the experience — not a high-volume destination.
Your days are yours to shape. Most people settle into a rhythm of focused mornings, time outdoors in the afternoon, and quiet evenings. There's structure here, but no pressure.
Accommodation: Shared rooms from $880/month, private rooms from $1,000/month. Simple, comfortable spaces with hot water, clean linens, and the sounds of the forest around you.

Internet: Reliable WiFi in workspaces and common areas, suitable for calls, meetings, and streaming.
Evenings: Free time to rest, read, stargaze, or spend time with others.
Transport: Transport from the highway to the reserve is included on arrival and departure. We can also help organize transportation from Quito or the airport for an additional cost. Weekend trips can be arranged separately.
“As a remote working parent, staying at La Hesperia allowed me to focus on work while the kids enjoyed their time learning and playing on the farm. The team were super flexible, giving me the opportunity to get fully involved with activities around my working hours. Also the internet and power supply were flawless — something I don't take for granted after spending the past year working remotely and travelling. We hope to return soon!”
